ABP Gold Members:
The member is entitled to take advantage of all ABP benefits. Part of the benefits provided to members is that ABP, working through Roadside Support, Inc., (RSI) will assist any member in distres. RSI will provide ABP Gold Members with access to a Dispatch Control Center which will use their network of service providers to coordinate the required services, such as jump starts, tire change, lockout service, fuel delivery, and will provide assistance for winching or towing for heavy duty trucks licensed to operate Fleet Affiliates: Fleets are encouraged to utilize Roadside Support, Inc. (RSI) program for on the road repairs for their fleet trucks. The Fleet is responsible for all costs and charges. The Dispatch Center will locate and coordinate a service provider for service repair work for the Fleet's trucks 24/7 anywhere in the United States. RSI will assist your fleet manager or dispatcher in getting your truck back in service. Through The Association of Benefit Providers, Inc.(ABP) , you have access to a variety of services and benefits. Some benefits require the presentation of your ABP membership ID Card, which will be produced and mailed to you upon receipt of your enrollment, while many other programs are available to anyone in the trucking busines. ABP's Roadside Support benefits are available to ABP Gold Members only. Terms and conditions and program details are subject to change without notice. Your personal ID Card will be mailed to you upon approval of your enrollment. Please be sure to keep this ABP ID Card with you at all times, as it is required to receive the services and benefits listed herein. If you don’t receive your cards, or have lost your card, please contact ABP for a replacement card. ABP requests that all vendors and service providers require the presentation of the member’s card, as well as a valid drivers’ license for identification purposes before services or discounts will be provided. Your ABP ID Card also has the toll free emergency assistance number for RSI's contracted Dispatch Control Center. This number is manned 24/7 for your protection, and they welcome your call anytime, if you need help. ROADSIDE SUPPORT BENEFIT Roadside assistance is available through our network to any trucker. The ABP Roadside Support Benefit is available for and paid only to ABP Gold Members in good standing and whose fees are current. Whenever you have a breakdown on the road and need help, RSI, its agents or assigns, will get the help you need dispatched to you up to three times a year. When you need help, simply call the toll free number 24/7 and request a dispatch truck be sent to your aid. The Dispatch Center will get the necessary information from you and then they will contact a member oftheir service provider network and have them respond to your need. A Dispatch Center operator will then call you with the information on the service provider and their estimated time of arrival. For individual members in good standing, ABP will issue a rebate to the member which will reimburse up to $75.00 for dispatch fees for qualifying incidents, upon receipt of an invoice for services provided. If your needs exceed the needs specified in your call to the operations center, benefit limits or covered services, the additional costs are NOT covered by ABP or the Roadside Support Benefit, and will not be paid by ABP or RSI . This benefit does not pay for parts or repairs to any truck , under any circumstances and does not cover or apply to company owned fleet trucks. The Roadside Support Benefit is restricted to heavy duty trucks and trailers. The Dispatch Center will assist in finding a service provider in any situation. ABP Gold Member benefits are limited to privately owned trucks. In the event that you are driving a rental truck the rental agency should be called for the needed service, and these repairs are not covered by the ABP Roadside Support benefit. *WHAT ABP's ROADSIDE SUPPORT BENEFITS DOES NOT COVER, click Here for Details • Truck Won’t Start: If your truck won’t start, service is available to provide a jump start and/or minor roadside adjustments to start your truck if you are away from home. The ABP Roadside Support benefit allows Roadside Support, Inc. (RSI) to work with The Dispatch Center to provide the necessary service for distress service to large trucks for a service call for the stranded member. The member will be responsible for paying the service providers for the services rendered. The member should then submit the original invoice to ABP for reimbursement in accordance with the terms and conditions for reimbursement of the allowable charges. • Flat Tire- A flat tire will be removed, and a roadworthy spare tire will be installed in its place. The ABP Roadside Support benefit, provided by Roadside Support, Inc. (RSI) and administered through RSI Dispatch Center (The Dispatch Center ), will have a service provider dispatched to you location, where they will replace your faulty with your spare tire, or repaire your tire, if repair can be done with a patch or simple boot. The cost of a replacement tire is NOT included The member will be responsible for paying the service providers for the services rendered. The member should then submit the original invoice to ABP for reimbursement in accordance with the terms and conditions for reimbursement of the allowable charges. • Lockout Service- If you lock yourself out of your truck , The Dispatch Center will dispatch a locksmith, or other professional to unlock your truck . The ABP Roadside Support benefit will reimburse the member for the locksmith's services. This benefit is only available to trucks that can be opened by locksmiths. Any vehicle that requires special tools or that have anti-theft access prevention devices are not eligible for this benefit. Access to such trucks should be acomplished by contacting an outlet for the particular device, and all charges are the responsibility of the truck owner and/or driver. The member will be responsible for paying the service providers for the services rendered. The member should then submit the original invoice to ABP for reimbursement in accordance with the terms and conditions for reimbursement of the allowable charges. • Out of Fuel- An emergency fuel supply will be sent to you. The member is responsible for the cost of the fuel. The member will be responsible for paying the service providers for the services rendered. The member should then submit the original invoice to ABP for reimbursement in accordance with the terms and conditions for reimbursement of the allowable charges. • Towing Service- If the truck can’t be started, towing, will be coordinated by the dispatch network through an independent contractor, to a destination of the member’s choice. The member will be responsible for paying the service providers for the services rendered. The member should then submit the original invoice to ABP for reimbursement in accordance with the terms and conditions for reimbursement of the allowable charges. • truck Stuck- If a member’s truck is stuck in a ditch, mud or other occasionally encountered circumstance, and is accessible from a normally traveled roadway, an independent service provider will be contracted by The Dispatch Center and coordinated to provide winching or towing services. The member will be responsible for paying the service providers for the services rendered. The member should then submit the original invoice to ABP for reimbursement in accordance with the terms and conditions for reimbursement of the allowable charges. THE ABP ROADSIDE SUPPORT BENEFIT will reimbursed the member cover up to two hundred dollars ($200.00) of the costs to have the truck extracted. This benefit does not apply to any vehicle stuck in ice or snow or that has been involved in a wreck. The ABP Roadside Support Benefits are intended to assist ABP members whose trucks are disabled, by providing a toll free number to call for assistance. The Dispatch Center will coordinate the dispatch of a qualified service provider and will have the necessary services rendered at no cost to the ABP Gold Member in good standing, for any circumstance covered by the ABP Roadside Support benefit. For any service not covered by the ABP Roadside Support Benefit, the The Dispatch Center Call Center will contract the service provider on the member's behalf. If the services are not coordinated through The Dispatch Center , Neither The Dispatch Center nor ABP will pay for the services, nor will they reimburse a member for any expenses. Details of the program are subject to change without notice, and a member may request a pro-rated membership refund if they feel the program benefits are not suitable. ABP 's liability is limited to and shall not exceed the amount of membership fees paid by the member for the current period of enrollment. The ABP Roadside Support Benefits are provided to ABP Gold Members in good standing through Roadside Support, Inc. (RSI), administered by The Dispatch Center (The Dispatch Center ), utilizing a network of independent service providers for the convenience of ABP members. In that these services are performed by independent business operations who are not under contract with ABP or RSI, neither ABP nor RSI are responsible for the repairs or the rates charged. ABP 's only recourse in the event of poor work or overcharging is to have the service provider removed from the list of service providers used for repairs. ABP benefits may be adjusted as necessary so as to maintain the integrity and viability of the program. If an ABP member needs roadside assistance anywhere in the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, they can call The Dispatch Center via the toll free number on their ABP Member ID Card for support services. The Dispatch Center will arrange for support services to be dispatched to the ABP member, and then for security purposes, The Dispatch Center will call the ABP member with the dispatch information. When an ABP member calls for ABP 's Roadside Support Benefits, the member must be present and they should be prepared to give: • Member Name and Membership Number • truck description, (i.e. makes, model, color, etc.) • Exact location of the truck , if known (street address, mile marker, etc.) • Nature of the trouble (such as flat tire, dead battery, stuck in ditch) • Phone number you are calling from. The Dispatch Center will contact the nearby repair facilities and coordinate the needed services. The Dispatch Center will then call the member to advise them of the details. If the need for assistance is relieved, and the service provider’s services are no longer needed, please call the The Dispatch Center as soon as possible so that The Dispatch Center can cancel the service call, thereby reducing the amount to be paid to the service provider. If expenditures are made to the service provider, this will be recorded as a use of the program. When the Service truck arrives, the ABP Member will be required to produce their ABP membership card and a photo ID to the service provider. ABP has made every effort to insure that ABP 's Roadside Support Benefits are available under all conditions. However, there may be some times, such as severe weather or natural disasters, that there may be some delay in services being provided. When such circumstances prevail, The Dispatch Center asks that you be patient, and The Dispatch Center will get help to you as soon as is humanly possible. Neither ABP , RSI nor The Dispatch Center will be responsible for repairs, delivery or installation of parts. All parts used by the member or the service provider, are the responsibility of the member or service provider, and should be authorized and approved by the member prior to installation. The Dispatch Center uses a network of authorized service providers. These service providers are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of ABP , RSI or The Dispatch Center . Neither ABP , RSI nor The Dispatch Center are responsible for and can not assume liability for any damage to your truck resulting from the rendering of services, or for personal items left in your truck . Any claims for such damages should be filed with or against the service provider. ABP , RSI and The Dispatch Center 's actions are limited to removing the service provider from our list of authorized service providers. The Dispatch Center offers limited road and towing services for all properly maintained and roadworthy heavy duty trucks. Off Road trucks are excluded. WHAT ABP 's ROADSIDE SUPPORT BENEFITS DOES NOT COVER The purpose of ABP ’S Roadside Support Benefits is to provide service in common emergency situations to ABP Gold members. Benefits do not cover: • Service if the member is not with the truck . (NOTE: Please do not remain with the truck if safety is at risk); • Towing of a wrecked truck , (this is normally covered by the insurance provider); • More than one service truck or wrecker to be dispatched to retrieve a truck or right an overturned truck or trailer, (This is normally covered by the truck ’s insurer); • Towing or service while at a repair facility or service station to another location; • Towing or service on roads not regularly maintained, including private property; • Repeated service calls for a truck in need of routine mechanical repairs; • Mechanical work required to move the disabled truck , such as an interruption of the drive line, or repairing an axle; • More than one (1) tow per disablement; • Service when a truck is snowbound. ABP will not pay to have a truck hoisted, winched or shoveled from and unplowed area, snow banks, snowbound driveways or curbside parking; • Rescue services to remote areas, services are restricted to state maintained roadways, and does not include vacant lots, beaches, open fields, or other areas that would be deemed dangerous for rescue trucks to travel; • Installation or removal of snow tires or chains, nor dismounting, rotating or repairing tires; • truck storage charges, costs of parts or installations, products, materials, impounding and additional labor relating to towing; • Service for taxicabs, farm tractors, boats and trailers, dune buggies, trucks used for competition, stolen trucks, unlicensed trucks, illegally parked trucks or impounded trucks. • Service to trucks with expired inspection stickers, expired license tags, and/or expired emission stickers, where required by law; • Service to a truck which is not in a safe condition to be towed; • Transportation for the member to the truck for service or from the truck to another destination after service has been rendered; • Charging a weak or dead battery; • Towing of a truck from a boat dock or marina; • Towing at the directions of a law enforcement officer related to traffic obstruction, impounding, abandonment, illegal parking or other legal violations; • Towing charges normally covered by truck insurance; • Towing of trucks for disposal (i.e. to junkyard) • Any other expense or service not specifically described as "SERVICES ELIGIBLE FOR REBATE/REIMBURSEMENT" in the section above. Excessive use of ABP 's Roadside Support Benefits is cause for non-renewal or cancellation of membership. If an ABP member locks their keys in their truck, or looses their keys, The Dispatch Center will make arrangements for locksmith services. Please note: The cost of making replacement keys or of repairing the lock is not covered by and will not be paid for by ABP or The Dispatch Center . • A call must be made to The Dispatch Center for service. If The Dispatch Center has no service provider available in our network, The Dispatch Center will issue the member an authorization number, and the member should; • Call the service provider of your choice; • Obtain an itemized invoice/receipt of services provided. Write the The Dispatch Center Authorization number and your ABP Membership number on the original receipt (do not send a photocopy…the member should retain a photocopy of the receipt) and, within 60 days, send it to; ABP Roadside Support Benefits Division Claims Department P.O.
